MDS (6×60°) Automatic indexing chucks – Hydraulic clamping and indexing

  • Made in special high resistence hardened and cementing steel, to avoid deformation, ensuring a high degree of precision, reliability and accuracy
  • Indexing movement (tecnomors patent) simple, strong and reliable with only one special piston that works in rotation and in indexing position
  • Strong guiding system of clamping and of the indexing mechanisms: this system uses 2 pre-loaded cylindrical roller lines radially and 1 roller axial bearing
  • Seals against contamination by coolant, chips or dust for low maintenance
  • The chuck is connected to the rear rotating oil manifold thanks to the nest tube already adapted to the application. This tube system is supplied with grinding hardened steel clutchs
  • Centrifugal force compensation system, to reduce the loss of gripping force, for high revolutions allowing high chip removal rates to obtain an higher productivity performance
  • Indexing control device: constant and automatic in-process controls for extremely safe machining
  • Indexing process is possible during spindle rotation to allow a fast indexing position passage between the working axes. It is advisable to reduce speed during the indexing operation to avoid vibrations due to the unbalance of workpiece masse
  • Very simple hydraulic system based on 2 indexing mechanism ports, 2 clamping pistons ports and 1 manifold drain
  • The clamping piston is connected to a safety valve and keeps the working securely gripped in the jaws even in the event of a complete pressure loss
  • Costant and automatic control of the indexing position and other working parametres by a separate electronic interface (not supplied) by the CNC machine
